Shannon Currin grew up in a little country town in Harnett County. She left the small-town life in 1998 to attend The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Go Heels! Following her graduation in 2001, with a degree in psychology, Shannon began teaching students with special needs. After 11 years in the public-school system, she decided to pursue a passion she had developed, a career in real estate. She became licensed in 2015 and has been helping clients ever since.Â
Shannon believes that her strong communication skills set her apart from other agents. With a background in teaching, she understands not only the emotional needs of her clients, but also the importance of teaching and explaining the process along the way. She makes it a priority to make each client feel like her only client.Â
In her free time, Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband (Matt), two sons (Hayden and Owen), and their sweet little Yorkie-Poo (Skiff) at their home in Angier, NC. Shannon and her family are very involved in their church and have been leading a Bible study group for many years. She loves to run and spend time at her family’s second home in Ocean Isle Beach. Shannon is an active member of both the Triangle MLS and The FlexMLS. This dual affiliation allows her to serve clients in the triangle and down at the coast! Â
The “Triangle" perfectly combines small town southern charm with a big city feel. The Research Triangle gets its name from three prestigious universities-Duke University, UNC Chapel Hill, & North Carolina State University making the region known for its technology, healthcare and education industries. The Raleigh Metropolitan area consists of a variety of smaller towns, all within 10 to 40 miles of the Triangle. The Triangle never stops growing with people, business and excitement, but is balanced with just the right amount of small-town life fitted for any lifestyle. Raleigh is known nationally and internationally for its frequent features in Forbes as the #1 place to raise a family, #2 for careers and young professionals and through its recent naming to the 2020 list of best places to retire.
